Kyle Etzkorn, MD, FACP, CPI

Dr. Etzkorn is a board-certified gastroenterologist with advanced expertise in therapeutic endoscopy and hepatobiliary medicine. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center and MD Anderson Cancer Center. He then pursued an advanced fellowship in hepato-biliary medicine at the University of Illinois Hospital, where he received specialized training in complex therapeutic procedures and the management of liver transplant patients.
Following his training, Dr. Etzkorn joined the faculty at the University of Illinois in Chicago as Acting Director of the GI Endoscopy Lab. In this role, he was actively involved in the training of fellows in advanced endoscopic techniques, including ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, and diagnostic laparoscopy. He also led several clinical research studies aimed at advancing endoscopic surgery techniques.
Dr. Etzkorn joined Borland Groover in 1996, where he continues to focus on the advancement of therapeutic endoscopy and the comprehensive care of patients with liver diseases. He is also a Certified Principal Investigator (CPI), reflecting his ongoing commitment to clinical research and innovation in gastroenterology.
